Tea Tree Oil Acne
Tea tree oil is the extract of the Melaleuca tree which originates in Australia and was quite popular there for its various curative, anti septic and antifungal features. But gradually it is gaining popularity world wide because of its excellent benefits. Though this essential oil is used in treating many fungal infections in scalp and skin as well as medication for problems like eczema, psoriasis, athlete’s foot and vaginitis etc., the most common use of it is for the acne treatment. The acne is the blemishes and spots that make the skin look ugly and they are caused by the bacterial infection. So the antiseptic property of the tea tree oil is utilized to treat this.
The tea tree oil is often considered to be as effective as the chemical benzoyl peroxide. It acts as fast as the artificial medicines but lacks the deadly side effects. The tea tree oil as n acne solution is often considered to be a tropical medication. There are quite a number of ointments, gels and face washes which treat the acne and contain tea tree oil as a main component. The acne marks are developed as the bacteria grow within the inner layer of the skin where the sebum gets clotted. This is the reason why there is no particular treatment for acne and it can only be prevented using proper measures. The antibacterial nature of tea tree oil has this required curative feature.
While you cleanse the skin with the tea tree oil products, the bacteria gets killed. The best way to use tea tree oil for acne treatment is to mix it with some warm water and rinse the face with mixture. This also wipes off the dead cells on the face and cleans the pores of the facial skin. Then the tea tree cream can be gently applied to the harmed area. But never over do with this rinsing and creaming as this will result in negative effects. Try to avoid any sort of exposure to sun after applying the tea tree products on your acne as this can dry the area causing severe irritation and worsening the state.
